DEAC 2016 Outstanding Graduate award winner Dusty Floyd earned her Master of Science in Complementary Alternative Medicine from ACHS in 2013, and graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

Floyd holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Information Technology, and Spanish from Monmouth University. After watching many family members and friends struggle with severe health issues, Floyd was inspired to pursue an education in CAM.

“Many of my closest family members and friends, including my husband, mother, aunt, and dear friend were plagued with cancer,” Floyd says. “My own daughter, barely a year old at the time, faced severe medical challenges that I helped her overcome through proper nutrition. […] It was in this moment that I found ACHS. They were accredited, affordable, and approachable.”

Floyd now provides nutritional and fitness counseling at Premier Medicine and Wellness in Bordentown, New Jersey.

She chose the MS in CAM program to earn a quality education in the holistic health field so she could help as many people as possible struggling with debilitating health issues.

“The ACHS motto, ‘Learn well. Live Well. Educate Others.’ deeply resonated with me,” Floyd says. “I wanted to earn a quality education in the holistic health field so I could pay it forward and help as many people as possible with their own journeys toward health and wellness.”

“Dusty’s passion and dedication for helping others embodies the values we hold dear at ACHS,” says Dorene Petersen, ACHS president and founder. “She has helped many, many people overcome painful health issues through holistic and CAM modalities, and she is very deserving of this recognition.”
